OTP temporary email

Temporary email for OTP codes

Need an inbox for a one-time passcode? MailDash creates a receive-only temporary address with a 10-second inbox refresh so you can watch for ordinary OTP messages without exposing your main email.

How temporary email works for OTP codes

Copy the temporary address from MailDash and paste it into the service requesting an email address. Keep the MailDash page open while the inbox checks for new messages every 10 seconds. If the service accepts disposable domains and sends an email OTP, the message can appear in your temporary inbox.

  • Use MailDash only for low-risk, short-term verification.
  • Keep the inbox open until the code arrives.
  • Use Refresh Inbox if you want to check immediately.
  • Choose New Mail if you need a different disposable address.

Why an OTP email may not arrive

A missing OTP does not always mean the inbox is broken. Some websites block known temporary-email domains, some providers delay outbound mail, and some codes expire quickly. Check that the address was copied correctly and give the sender a reasonable amount of time before requesting another code.

If the website requires a permanent recovery address, use your normal email instead of a disposable inbox.

When not to use a temporary OTP inbox

Do not use a disposable address for banking, medical services, work accounts, school accounts, password recovery, identity verification, purchases you may need to recover later, or any account you cannot afford to lose. Temporary email is designed for convenience, not long-term ownership.
