Safety guide

Is temporary email safe?

Temporary email can reduce exposure of your permanent address, but it is not the right choice for every account. Safety depends on what you use it for and what you expect to recover later.

The main privacy benefit

A disposable address keeps your permanent email out of a low-risk form. If that website later sends marketing messages, the clutter is separated from the inbox you use for personal or professional communication.

The biggest risk: temporary access

A temporary inbox can disappear, expire or become inaccessible. That makes it unsuitable for password recovery, purchases, financial accounts or anything you may need to prove ownership of later.

Treat temporary email as a convenience tool

Use it for short-term receiving where losing the address would have little consequence. Use a permanent mailbox for anything tied to money, identity, work, education, healthcare or long-term account access.

MailDash-specific privacy notes

MailDash stores the current temporary mailbox session in browser local storage so it can survive a normal refresh. The service is supported by advertising, and third-party advertising providers may use browser technologies under their own policies. Read the MailDash Privacy Policy for the current data-flow description.
